MIZOGUCHI Nagahiro was a principal retainer of the Shibata Clan who was responsible in this policy.\nThe author has been requested to research a set of documents that had been the possession of the MIZOGUCHI family. The main document, Kafubo, The book of genealogy of the MIZOGUCHI family, covers the two hundred and fifty years of the history of the family and is itself a remarkable record of the life and work of the upper samurai in the Edo period, the founder of the family being a younger brother of the first chief of the Shibata Clan.
